I’ve stopped by this station twice to try to charge with my Volt. The station was not working either time. And the station was ICE’d the first time I stopped by. The second time the station tripped my check engine light, and I had to make several calls to OnStar to resolve the issues. The staff at the McDonald’s had not been trained on the use of Blink charger.
Also, the charger was installed on the passenger side of the car, which means either a serious of backing moves must be made to position the car, or the cord must be drapped across the hood to reach the charge port on the Volt or the upcoming Ford Focus plugins.
