Is parking not free for EVs in Santa Monica ? I'm interested because I work nearby and wondering if I could leave the Leaf while I work without having to worry about their hourly rates. I know all metered parking is free for EVs in Santa Monica , but I guess this is private parking.
I'm trying to figure out a way to charge while at work because My new condo park will not have any charging access:( I am will to pay for the electric if any leaf owners in Santa Monica can offer to let me charge from 10AM to 1:30 pm

boy that would be a really close call. you would have to drive under 50 mph and use no climate control. i think it might make you a little crazy. can you get your employer to install a 240 ? also could you top off there on a 120? that would help. 8 hours on a 120 outlet could add quite a bit of range to your drive.

Nancy, range depends on a number of factors including traffic, changes in elevation along your route and your driving style. If you're nearby, a friendly Leaf owner might try out your route for you or even take you for a test drive. Where are you commuting from/to, roughly?
