Get Directions to This EV Charging Station:

Fast DC charger is free, but needed my Blink Card. Two Fast DC stations on a single machine. Parking attendant let me in for free. Station worked great. Urban Radish market going up in same parking lot. 8 regular Blink stations available also at regular Blink rates.
I went there today, here’s an update:
1. I couldn’t find the keypad to enter the code – there are two gates at opposite ends and I went to both. I managed to get in and out when others were leaving.
2. The DC fast chargers are on the ‘Blink’ system and you have to pay to use them. I called up and went through the process. There was a problem and the code wouldn’t work. So as from this morning, they don’t work.
If anyone can help regarding the location of the keypad that would be helpful. I’ll try to find out from Blink when the DC chargers are working again. I’ve signed up for their pass card (www.blinknetwork.com).
I was able to get into gate but found two leafs plugged in to the dc quick charger unattended. When I am near empty I find that the dc quick chargers will give my leaf 15 kwhs in less than 30 minutes. There is no reason to leave them unattended at quick chargers. Also, the charging cables are so so that I could not do a quick charge next to one of the vehicles. This message is to all the discourteous ev drivers who hog the dc quick chargers. It is wrong to leave them plugged in and unattended. I will not be coming back to this station. Anyway, the area is indeed dilapidated and frankly scary even under the midday sun.
From the owner for when it is closed:
Until the market opens next february, we installed a key pad on the side of the gate so electric vehicles can go in and charge even if there is no attendant. The code is 01855.
This is the only DC Fast charger in LA.
The station is up and open to the public whenever the lot is open to the public. They charge $5 flat rate for parking and charging is free.
There are a few trendy restaurants in the area. The developer of the lofts is allegedly a Leaf driver and he’s supporting the movement to electrification.
I’ve updated this record with Earl’s info and a link to a local article this week about the station.
It’s a bit of a stretch to call this the first DC fast charge station in LA, since the Mitsubishi HQ unit has been in service in Cypress for almost a year now. On the other hand, that’s pretty far from downtown LA, and the unit seems to be frequently out of service.
Thank you Linear City for the support!
