Four spaces now have EV-only parking signage. All four spaces were available when I dropped by. As expected, the remaining 28 EV spaces were all ICE’d.

The lot is open 24 hrs a day Monday through Friday. The lot is locked on Friday at 7:30 pm and opens on Monday at 5 am. Charging is free and this is a public, free parking lot.

This is a massive solar PV and EV charging project erected over an existing parking area at a Metrolink station. The grand opening ceremony was just held Fri., 4/6/12. There are currently 32 Aerovironment J1772/L2′s mounted on pillars under solar carport near the southeast end of the lot (nearest tracks). Additional 32 AV units will be installed in the near future. Gate to the lot is open M-F, coinciding with train schedule. Lot is closed on weekends as there is no train service then. No fee to charge nor to park. However, as project(s) at this site near completion (a few yrs.), a parking fee may be applied.

EV parking and charging signage has not yet been posted, but should be done within a couple of weeks. So, all 32 available charging spots were ICE’d. But, site operators (blue/white trailer) and security are very friendly and aware, and in the meantime will accomodate if you need a charge! They talked of coning off several spaces until appropriate signage is posted.
