    Stopped by to test and document, and had a nice chat with Ed Benson, owner of the store and the Nissan Leaf normally out front at one of the two stations. Installed in Oct 2011, I believe this was the very first public EVSE in Alabama! I don’t count Nissan dealerships, which often frown on non-Leafs charging and so I don’t consider them real public stations.

    Thank you Mr. Benson for your support! I believe yours is the first public charging station in the state of Alabama, not counting the Nissan dealerships.
